The Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages was founded in January 2024, composed of four faculty branches and two student branches, with 116 members of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Taking into account the development direction and actual work of the School, its Party Committee is actively dedicated to the construction of the Party-building brand named “Red Language Wings,” exploring the in-depth integrations of the Party building of the School with the educational cause, the needs of teachers and students, the Party building of the local area, and the Party-building system of the entire university, under the guidance of high-quality Party building ushering in the high-quality development (abbreviated as “Dual-high Four Integrations”), combining “Party building” with “ideological education,” “construction of academic atmosphere” and “voluntary service,” aimed to put the following five things in place: the leadership and operation mechanism of the Party organization, the gatekeeper role of politics, the ideological and political work, the implementation of grassroots organization system, and the promotion of reform and development.

The Party Committee conscientiously organizes the central team devoted to the theoretical study, standardizes the “Three-meeting and One-class system” of the Party branches, actively carries out the study of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, and strengthens the supervision and management of the political and theoretical analysis of the teaching and administrative staff.

Faculty Party members were organized to visit Zhejiang Archives, reminiscing about the eventful years of CPC in Zhejiang and perceiving the significant contributions made by the people of Zhejiang for the  development and construction of new China; another visit was paid to the New Fourth Army Jiangzhe Military Museum in Changxing, credited as “small Yan’an in Jiangnan,” to recollect the heroic deeds of martyrs, and firmly uphold the ideal and conviction of unremitting struggle for the next centenary goal of the Chinese nation; the red patriotism education base of Xiajiang Village in Chun’an County, Zhejiang, was visited to carry out the Party-day activity themed “tracing to the source to acquire ideology and promote the practice,” to learn and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping’s people-oriented and pragmatic style of going deep into the grassroots and the masses. Through the on-site experiential learning by tracing the footprints, the Party members have gained a deeper understanding and comprehension of Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era further enhancing their sense of responsibility and mission.

The appraisal and selection of “Red Pioneers” were conducted by discovering, recommending, and commending the excellent representatives from around, which has enhanced the vitality and vigor of the Party organization and Party members of the School, strengthened the sense of honor and responsibility of the members, and created a sound atmosphere of learning from, advocating, and striving to be the excellent representatives.
